Zen Connection with Horses

3 day clinic at Cockatoo

with Jenny Pearce

January 23rd to 25th, 2010 @ Mark & Alison’s stunningly beautiful property Hearts Abode at Cherry Garden Cottages, Evans Rd, Cockatoo.

This clinic takes you on a wonderful journey to have an extraordinary mind and emotional connection with your horse.  The extensive liberty work is simple and practical and effective and powerful and incredibly beautiful.

Jenny, an international author, teacher and clinician, takes 10 riders at a time on this lovely relaxed journey, showing you how to find peace and joyfulness for you and your horse and systematically building on that.  Have a look at People’s Stories on the website for more information about the clinics and the books they are based on.  Note: Non riders are welcome but participate too!

All you have to bring to this clinic are a love for The Horse and a desire to improve your relationship.  Your skill level with horses is unimportant.  You can be a Grand Prix dressage rider or an enthusiastic beginner, you can be working with a grand old schoolmaster or a brumby fresh out of the bush - because you work at you and your horse’s own pace.

Alane Millions-Kendall facilitates the Second Wind Horse Program, an equine assisted therapy offered on our property.

Second Wind Horse Program uses the natural characteristics of the horse to take people on a journey of personal growth, awareness and healing.

It is the use of animals in a therapeutic environment that helps facilitate healing. Together with horses we become connected once again to nature, resulting in a deeper understanding of ourselves.

Horses give us permission to behave naturally. Their size, strength and intuition require an approach of respect and sensitivity. The program has been successfully employed within Corrections Canada supporting incarcerated Native American Women in gaining insight into positive opportunities for transition into the community.

Principals of the Program

In their innocence & wisdom, in their connection to the earth and its most ancient rhythms, animals show us a way back to a home they have never left.    Susan Chernak McElroy
